We are pleased to announce the Conference “Research Needs and Innovative Pathways towards Systemic Crop Protection Strategies” of our sister project FORTUNA, taking place on 30 November 2026 at the Julius Kühn-Institut in Berlin-Dahlem, Germany. This event marks the culmination of an intensive and highly collaborative work of the Coordination and Support Action, bringing together scientists from across Europe. The conference will feature system approaches in crop protection that are set to become the cornerstone of future crop management. Particularly welcome are research contributions focusing on approaches that combine multiple methods into crop protection strategies and exploit their synergies as well as contributions from the social sciences addressing economic, institutional and policy dimensions and pathways for facilitating reduced pesticide use.
