Project partners
The Institute for Breeding Research on Agricultural Crops at the Julius Kühn-Institut developed the project database, compiled data on the occurrence of the four wild celery species, supplemented the data sets, analysed the genetic diversity of the species Apium graveolens subsp. graveolens and Helosciadium inundatum and implemented the establishment of the genetic reserves.
The Botanical Garden of the University of Osnabrück developed an IT-supported tool for collecting data on occurrences. The partner was responsible for the analysis of genetic diversity of the species Helosciadium repens. The seeds of the four wild species harvested in genetic reserves were stored as reserve samples in the Gene Bank for Wild Plants for Food and Agriculture (Genbank WEL).
The Albrecht Daniel Thaer-Institute for Agricultural and Horticultural Science at the Humboldt University of Berlin analysed the genetic diversity of Helosciadium nodiflorum.
